Following Leopold's death, Claudia skillfully assumed the regency for her young son, Ferdinand Charles, governing the County of Tyrol with notable acumen. She also held the title of Governor of Siena, reflecting her continued influence within the Medici sphere. Claudia de' Medici passed away in Innsbruck on December 25, 1648, leaving behind a legacy of capable leadership and dynastic importance.
